So we've been parked in front of the telly watching the swimming at Glasgow 2014 in order to bring ourselves up to speed. It's tough, but we see it as our duty.
Now, if you were watching the coverage last night, you'll have heard mention of Fran Halsall's hot pants. (No. Not that kind of hot pants. This is a family website.)
We're talking about the pants she referred to in an interview when she said "...my heated pants switched off so I was a bit chilly...".
Hmmm. What was she talking about?
Well, we've done some delving for you and we THINK she's wearing some version of the ADIPOWER heated trousers that the British Cycling team wore during the 2012 Olympics in London.
The trousers were developed by Adidas after a team of ergonomists and exercise physiologists from Loughborough university provided scientific proof that the concept actually improved athletic performance.
And now, the trousers appear to have strayed from the velodrome to Tollcross and are helping Fran Halsall storm home to win gold.
But - weirdly - the internet is keeping schtum about the trousers and we can't find out for sure whether Fran is actually wearing Adipower trousers, or indeed whether Amazon will be stocking them in time for the Leicester Sharks Club Champs.
It's all very mysterious and mildly frustrating.
But, in the absence of hot pants, we thought we'd bring you some training tips from the coach of the moment - soz Guy, not you - James Gibson.
He's got some nuggets of wisdom for you to practice over the Summer in readiness for the next swimming season. We love his breathing tip: "Do breathe, but do it as little as possible."
Definitely a swimming mantra to live by :-)
